I actually managed to fix one board set that had several problems on it.
Mostly bad ram chips and a couple of bad traces.
I'm working on a second one that is pretty dead. I'm using my fluke
troubleshooter, Kurz Kasch Test fixture and an oscilliscope.
As far as your problem - I'd check to make sure your clock is working. I
just repaired two Asteroids boards with dead clocks. I also double check
the 7404 IC adjacent to it.
That's where I'd start anyway. Maybe someone could add some more advice.
