I'd suggest looking at the early Namco pseudo pin games (Gee Bee, Bomb Bee
and Cutie Q) for ideas related to that, but they really need a spinner
control.

Guess you could do a pinball game with asteroids rotate, thrust buttons
or use two button wing tip thrusters like Eliminator.

In thinking about it, a breakout style game where you have to control the
'ship' like that might be kind of fun, esp if you had a bad guy ship trying
to shoot at you while you were bouncing around.
