VECTOR: Asteroids Deluxe board broblems.

can anyone help me with this Asteroids Deluxe pcb?

When powered up the board LED lights and the player1 button lights up
but flickers every half second - no picture no sound no response of any
kind.

in test mode it produces a continual 'beep - beep - beep' sound and the
player start button lights continually.

If I ground the watchdog it produces a continual 'beeeeeeeeeeep' sound.

I tried a known good 6502 - no good.

what next?

is it worth having someone make up a replacement rom at N/P2 and J1?
