VECTOR: More Ampliphone questions

Two more questions on the advice in the Ampliphone FAQ:

1) My board is missing the 5W 50 ohm resistors. Is there any reason to
prefer a certain type -- RS or CW silicone coated, square cement time, etc ?

2) The FAQ recomends using low ESR caps, but the schematic from
www.gamearchive.com doesn't mention it. Just what does low ESR mean anyway
?
