Cable Channel to Air Game Show [9/11/00 10:12:50 AM ET]
In a move that further qualifies interactive entertainment for being a
pop-culture force, the History Channel will run a special program called
Video Games: Behind the Fun, which is scheduled to premiere on October 9 at
10pm (Eastern/Pacific).
The program looks at the growth of the industry, with a peek at the
evolution that’s taken place from the first videogame, Space War (created at
the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1962) to Pong, various game
consoles—such as those from Atari, Nintendo, Sega and Sony—and today’s
cutting-edge 3-D games.
