Hmmmm..... Maybe you're right. I've heard that as a general rule you set the
kv proportional to the size of the tube. So a 13" tube requires somewhere
around 13kv. A 19" requires around 19kv. Looking through the Amplifone manual
doesn't really say what to set a 25" tube. I always thought 19.5kV looked fine
to me.
Let me know if I'm wrong.
