Info Needed: Sonic Asteroids

Hey Everyone!
           I just got home with a Sonic Asteroids upright. It is in
nice shape, but isn't working and has an Atari-made PCB w/ the rate
multiplier board on it. Can someone give me any history/info on this
game?? i.e. where it came from, etc. I have never seen one before, is
