Atari Vertical Major Havoc question

Since the only dedicated vertical orientation monitor Atari X/Y games are
Tempest and Quantum, from a game play perspective, how does Major Havoc play
in the Tempest conversions? Is it noticeably different than playing it
horizontal (dedicated & Space Duel conversions)?
