I was thinking the old one, mainly since they are relatively easy to find.
Only down side I can think of is the inability to play more than one sound at
a time. However, if you dedicate one board to background sounds, and one
board for everything else, you may be OK.
I'm sure the newer board gives you more flexiblity, but I've never seen one,
and certainly have never played one of the games that uses it (at least not
that I'd admit in public ;-)
Are there any other candidates for flexibile digital sound boards that can be
readily found?
